What is Moosend?
Moosend is end-to-end email marketing automation software. Today I am sharing an overview of Moosend. It is an affordable email automation tool that requires little to no training. However, because of how easy it is to get started, Moosend users are completing their email marketing automation efficiently.
It’s sad to think that some companies spend thousands of dollars a month on super-powerful marketing automation software that they don’t need. Also, this material can be tough to use.
With it, you have a lot of freedom to customize your email marketing automation. There is an extensive set of triggers and actions that can control from the drag and drop interface. Workflows can share among team members who can leave notes.
But before we begin, let me explain why I am reviewing Moosend.
Moosend Vs Mailchimp
MailChimp, one of AWeber’s alternatives as accessible for the first two subscribers, has minimal functionality. Also, the interface was still overwhelming.
Now I have found Moosend. It has some excellent features that I will share with you through an easy-to-use interface. I can create, manage and track all my email marketing needs.
Integrates with the best shopping cart, including Shopify. It helps send laser-targeted emails to potential customers, convert them into paying customers and increase your ROI.
As an entrepreneur, This tool solves my problem. One of the main reasons I’m quitting Aweber and using Moosend, and I love it so much, is why I’m sharing a review.
Who should use Moosend?
Any online business (blog, e-commerce site, membership sites) that wants to reach an audience via email in the form of a newsletter or autoresponder should use it. An email marketing tool is a must for any online business. If you don’t have another reliable internal email solution for your subscribers, this tool is a must.
The best thing about Moosend is that it offers all the features for free for 1000 subscribers, unlike MailChimp, which provides a limited set of features for free accounts.
I suggest you try this tool. However, if you are unsure whether it is right for you or your business, let me share the pros and cons of it to help you make up your mind.
Moosend Review: Pros
First, let’s start by looking at the benefits of this tool.
- Overloaded automation functions
Moosend Email Automation offers much more than any other email marketing program currently available. It has everything you need to email automation campaigns.
Email marketing workflows are automated for a practical user experience.
For example, you can send emails for birthdays or anniversaries. Alternatively, connect to shopping carts like Shopify and send emails to users who have added items to their cart but haven’t completed their purchase.
Moosend’s answering machine is fantastic. Others offer what Moosend calls a sequence of emails.
- Repeatable HTML campaign.
All email marketing solutions offer regular email feeds, A / B Split Testing and an RSS-based email. However, my favorite thing about Moosend is the repetitive HTML campaigns.
This is what impresses me the most. One of my vBulletin clients wanted to personalize his newsletter and add hot discussions to his newsletter. This is impossible without repetitive HTML campaigns.
Many other options open up when everything is handled in PHP and HTML using a repeatable HTML campaign.
- Exceptional analyzes
The tool also offers traditional email analytics like open rates, click-through rates, etc. However, It offers much more. Specific subscriber activity on the heat map.
I like. Helps you effectively track the effectiveness of your email design
There are more analytical reports like the performance of each link, the location of the link that was clicked, the user’s devices, etc. In short, they provide valuable insights from data to track campaign performance.
- Route the Moosend SMTP emails.
The tool is a genuinely complete email marketing solution. They offer direct SMTP to send emails. This means that you can even use WordPress or any other CMS to send emails using the tool.
It means that email delivery from your CMS can be improved by sending emails via the tool direct SMTP. Besides, email NDRs can also help it with its campaign.
Besides, Moosend also integrates with popular third-party tools like Zapier or Salesforce.
- Various options for importing email.
Moosend offers several ways to import subscribers. Contacts can even be downloaded from Google.
Besides, contacts can be imported directly from CRM, such as Salesforce.
- List segmentation
Mailing list segmentation helps you organize your subscribers as needed. For example, you can segment your email list into groups by age, gender, profession, income, interests, and more.
With a segmented list, you can send highly relevant emails and interact more effectively with your subscribers.
When your email interacts with your audience, it increases your click-through rate. In general, email has a more significant impact.
- Professional and flexible newsletter templates.
Get a ready-made email template from the Moosend Template Library and customize it as needed.
If you don’t want to use a built-in template, you can create one from scratch using the campaign designer. With this tool, you can instantly create professional and responsive newsletters. The best part is that you don’t have to be a professional designer to do this.
First of all, you can run a preview to see how the email will look in different email clients such as Outlook or Thunderbird and different screen sizes.
- Confirmation of sending and spam content.
Moosend offers comprehensive content test and spam detection for a variety of email service providers.
Fixed, and now Gmail works fine.
- Integration of third parties
Here’s a list of popular third-party Moosend integrations.
- Google Contacts
- Never bounce
- And more.
Also, they provide APIs for integration. I am integrating Moosend with vBulletin for one of my clients. I will combine it with XenForo soon.
- Integration of purchases and abandoned cart reminder
Moosend integrates with popular shopping cart solutions and can also be used to send emails to potential customers who have abandoned their cart.
A polite reminder can help the buyer complete a purchase. Besides, you can offer a discount or request technical problems in the process. Most of the time, this leads to increased sales.
Shopping cart abandonment isn’t just limited to e-commerce. Recurring membership sites can also remind customers to renew their payments.
Moosend offers all premium features completely free of charge for up to 1000 subscribers.
With the free plan, you can send an unlimited number of emails without using the Moosend brand. However, there are two modules for the paid plans.
The first is a monthly plan based on the number of subscribers.
For example, 1,000 to 2,000 subscribers will cost $ 10 per month. And subscribers from 2K to 3K will need $ 20 per month.
In general, in monthly plans, for every 1,000 subscribers, the increase is $ 10. This is much lower than that of the competition.
Meanwhile, the second plan is paid as you go. This billing model requires the user to purchase credits by mail. In short, the user only pays for the number of emails sent. Each email recipient will be charged one credit.
For example, 1000 credits will cost $ 3. This means that you can send emails to 1000 recipients. The cost of an email is $ 0.003 per recipient.
If you don’t plan on emailing your subscribers, use a pay-as-you-go plan more often.
Moosend Review: Cons
Let me also highlight the downsides of Moosend.
- Limited subscription forms
Moosend does not offer pop-up subscription forms. Just a simple HTML form.
Hence, it is necessary to use a third-party tool like OptinMonster to create great registration forms.
- You cannot send emails from no-reply @ your domain.
Moosend does not allow sending emails from a non-existent sender. It means that for a domain, you can only send emails from real email addresses. My client sends emails from unanswered emails. Since the email does not exist, Moosend will not allow you to become a sender even after verifying your domain ownership.
A workaround is to create an unanswered email for the domain, validate it in Moosend, and delete it.
- RSS campaigns cannot use the RSS title as a topic.
The email subject for an RSS campaign is not dynamic. It means that every email should use a standard subject line.
Therefore, if I send an email with my latest messages through Moosend, I cannot select the article title as the subject of the email. It should be a constant value, for example.
“IMTips Blog Weekly Updates”
It is a problem for RSS-based campaigns or HTML repeatable campaigns. Every email has the same subject line, so we can’t force the subscriber to open it engagingly.
- Test email for RSS campaigns does not send content from the feed.
Moosend probably needs to do a bit of work on its RSS campaigns. The test email contains no actual content. Submit all bogus content in the test email instead of the actual content from the feed.
If you’re starting and don’t have many subscribers yet, upgrade to the free plan.
Moosend scales very quickly as it grows, and the free plan has 99% of the features you need.
However, if you have a diverse audience and need to create multiple landing pages, it is best to go straight to the Pro version of the landing page editor.
In the end, the choice is yours.
I can tell you that Moosend is a simple email marketing platform, and the learning curve is not steep.
You should have no problem launching powerful marketing campaigns with basic knowledge.
